With 10 races complete, the Southwest Formula Mazda Series is going strong with 17 participants. The average car count to this point has been 8.5 FM's. The largest car count was at Texas Motor Speedway with 13 Formula Mazdas competing.
Returning Champion, Darryl Wills, has dominated this year with 10 wins. Looks like another Championship for Wills. Russ Hillenburg, former Sprint Car driver, is leading in points for Rookie of the Year. And Frank Newman, former Motorcycle racer, is leading in points for the Masters Champion.
Our next event will be at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit on June 19-20-21.
The final race will be at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas on Sept 11-12-13. The SWFM Series Awards Presentation will take place Saturday pm.
