Series will run the next two races at Thunderhill in the reverse configuration

Close to twenty Formula Mazda drivers are preparing to conquer LlihrednuhT (pronounced Lil' Red Nut) which is the large Thunderhill course run backwards.
"There is very little information about this course available, so that should even the field out against drivers who have thousands of miles on other
tracks we compete at," stated Series Administrator Eric McCombs. "Throw in the fact that the Pro cars are going to the new Goodyear radial tire at
this event and we should have a pretty exciting weekend."
The race weekend begins on Friday afternoon May 2nd when the series will have three 30 minutes sessions to get to know the course and prepare for the two
races to follow. Saturday and Sunday will feature practice, qualifying, and race sessions. The current points leaders are Patrick O'Neill in the Pro
Formula Mazda class, and Bill Weaver in the Standard FM class.
This will be the first event that the series will be working with NASA as a sanctioning body. "NASA has been very accommodating to our series, and has
not only provided us with exclusive track time but has assisted with at-track logistics and meeting the needs of our series partners. We really appreciate
everything they have done to accept our series into their family," added McCombs. "We also have to thank Doug Gale of
TrackMasters who made it possible for us to test during the Friday leading into the
weekend."
Once these two races are in the history books, the Star Mazda West Coast Series Pro Mazda drivers will head to Miller Motorsports for the May 15-17th race,
and the MOLECULE Formula Mazda Challenge drivers will return to Thunderhill to race another NASA sanctioned exclusive weekend in the normal large track
configuration June 6th-8th.
