I noticed my front A arm has a small dent or ding in it. It looks to me like it was hit with a rock versus starting to fail. The A arm is not bent. That
said, I don't have a feel for how much stress the part is under and if I should replace it or just watch the part.
Advice would be great... |

I was going to ask where it was. But, duh,
 I can't think of
where it could be that would be worth trying to save $127 and risk a failure. Break one of those and it gets real bad real fast, as I'm sure you can
imagine. That may be the last part to take a chance on. I would definitely get a knowledgable analysis of what caused it.

I had a similar specialization in front corner failures, one due to #2 shear plate splitting in 2. Keep in mind if you DID hit something hard enough to dent
the A Arm, you could have put a lot of stress on other parts such as the outer lower rod end. I have seen my share of catastrophic failures (in my car and
others in the Nor Cal group) to recommend considering replacement after a bang. Not sure if that makes my analysis "knowledgeable" but I do notice
new parts break less often!

When it comes to Suspension and Himes...Replace it whenever in question. A lot of us (including myself) have learned this lesson the hardway... Hope this helps,
